Breakfast treat

During the weekends I try to treat the family with something extra nice for breakfast. Make something different and gather eveyone around the table. That we do not have time for during the week. This saturday I made scones. They are scrumtious while they are still warm with butter and strawberry jam. Try them with whipped cream and jam with your afternoon coffee, or slighty toasted the day after.

Breakfast alternative

8 dl flour
1 tsp salt
3 tsp baking powder
100 g soft butter
3 dl milk or sour milk

Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Add butter and mix with your fingertips or a wooden spoon. Add milk and blend into a smooth mixture. Do not over mix it!

Pat the dough into a circle that is about 1,5 cm in thickness. You need some flour here! Then, using a round cookie cutter, cut the dough into rounds and place on a baking tray.

Bake for about 10 minutes at 250 degrees.
