First run in three weeks

April 10, 2011 By Cursor 6 Comments

First run in three weeks. It was short and light but still I was out on my two feet! I feel happy and already a kilogram lighter. I had not planned to run today. But after my morning cup of coffee I felt so energetic that I decided to give it a go. It has been awhile.

Running out of running photos

The sun is out and for the first time it really feels as if Spring is here. We have had storms and some horrid weather over this side and I have not been outdoors. I have been completely sedentary while becoming claustrophobic in my own home. The only form of physical activity I have put myself through is when I have taken the kids to school and back, and done the necessary shopping. And that is with the car. So, on top of my daily exercise I have missed my daily dose of fresh air that I am used to getting first thing in the morning on my runs.

It has been pretty miserable 3 weeks. After having run 5-6 times a week and then coming down to zero exercise or any physical activity really just is not pleasant. But after my run today life feels good again. I feel positive about my future training and believe the illnesses are in the past. We have had a fair share of all kinds this Winter.

Here is hoping for more regular updates of my training and that the Spring is here to stay!

Thanks MMS .. I am really hoping to be back on track soon. I did a 5K run this morning and it felt good. I was instructed to take a rest day tomorrow and then let’s see what the coach has in mind for the rest of the week. Trust all is well on your side and training going accordingly 🙂 //Cursor
